Dear Readers:

As many of you know, I am in Sydney, Australia preparing for the Plan Your Perfect Evening Event on February 12^th.

I have wanted to visit Sydney for years, but my schedule has never allowed it, so when I was invited to come and speak, I jumped at the chance. I have to tell all of you, I am so glad I did. The wonderful hospitality I have been shown has been overwhelming and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there are a number of event professionals and brides who know of my work out here. As a big fan of bringing the outdoors in, it’s no surprise that one of the things I am enjoying most about the city is the wonderful balance of natural and modern design. Walking through the gorgeous botanical garden, one can turn their head one way and see the iconic Opera House and then another to see of more than 18,500 species of flowering plants, ferns, cycads, and confiners existing in the country.

The incredible animals are also something to be seen. I was shocked when I found out that the country has more than 5,500 different species of marine and land mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles – eighty percent of them native to the area!

To say I am enjoying the inspiration and getting to know the wonderful people I am meeting would be an understatement.
