I love hearing each person’s story; tell us when you discovered that working in events was your passion.

I’m 34 years old and through out my life I’ve worked in different branches of photography (fashion, product, companies, etc.), but I found that shooting a wedding was always something very special. From the first wedding I photographed, I felt a strong connection to this unique moment in the lives of my clients. That connection was the key to finding my vocation, and from that day on I knew that there was nothing else in the world I wanted to do.

What did you do beforehand?

I studied sociology for a few years and worked as a journalist. It might not seem related at first, but when I took up photography for the first time while traveling through Latin America I actually applied my past studies to help me create a style of photography that is fresh and candid, while at the same time careful to preserve the deep emotions flowing through that particular moment.

Tell us about your biggest event success.

I just got back from Europe where I had the chance to make a E-Session in Rome using locations such as the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, and St. Peter’s Square! It was a wonderful experience I’ll never forget.

I believe that each of us have something unique and special to offer clients. What do you feel sets you apart?

One of the hardest things about being a photographer is having the couple become comfortable enough that my presence doesn’t interfere with their moment. I believe I am able to create an environment comfortable enough for my clients to prevent myself from feeling like an imposition. Without the tension, I am able to portray both their silly moments and beautiful moments in a genuine way. I am also sure to be attentive to everything, from the delicate preparations of the bride to the energy and excitement on the dance floor; I love to capture every essence of every wedding I work on.

Working in events is often a full time job, especially when you are committed to your clients. How do you find that balance between your personal and professional life?

There is a lot of synergy between both aspects of my life. Whether or not I have a client, I am always taking pictures.

Finally, describe the event of your dreams. What is the budget, theme, and location?

I dream of working a Hindu wedding. They are usually so colorful, emotional and exciting, and there are so many other people taking part in this celebration aside from the bride and groom. I especially love the tradition and the symbolism that goes behind the rituals of a Hindu wedding. There are so many important beautiful moments to capture. This event is something that I would undoubtedly enjoy working.
